This is some of the best pizza ever and the customer service is excellent. They have all kinds of pizza and you won't be disappointed.
I was a little unsure about this place because the reviews were very mixed on Yelp and Google. We decided to pull the trigger and try this place. It's located near Buffalo Wild Wings and is about 8 min drive from the Yorktown mall in Lombard. They have an ample amount of seating inside as well as parking. Parking is a shared lot. You can order pizza by the slices or order a whole. I decided to do individual slices. I picked buffalo chicken, bbq chicken, the 53rd, and chicken tikka masala. My girlfriend ordered the gyros with rice. This is NY style pizza, you can fold the pizza without having all of the toppings slide off. The crust is slightly crispy and requires little chewing. Each pizza slice had robust flavor. Prices were reasonable. Customer service could be improved but it was decent. I would come back again. If they fix that customer service, it would be a 5. -buffalo chicken 5 -bbq chicken 5 -the 53rd 5 -chicken tikka masala 5 -gyros 5 - meat was tender. I recommend loving everything before eating.
Yum! My husband got two slices of pizza and it was typical NY pizza - thicker crust and large slice. It was right up his alley and he enjoyed both slices. I got the Gyro over rice plate and it was the perfect amount of spice with 2 lines of hot sauce. I ended up bringing half home and it reheated nicely the next day. It's more of a place to get take out but several tables to sit at. They had RC Cola - (no pepsi or coke) which is usually an indicator of "cheapness" but fortunately we moved past that faux pas!
Me and my sister decided to try SLYCE of NY today for dinner. I been seeing this place for a while now and my best friend also told me the pizza was decent. We came 30 min before closing and they had only three slices left ready to eat. We got the following items: - 1 Cheese Slice ( 3/5 ) - 2 Chopped Cheese Slice ( 4.5/5 ) - 1 Chopped Cheese Fries ( 5/5 ) Worth checking out! The Chopped Cheese Fries are so good!
The combo chicken and gyro over rice is amazing! Better than the halal guys. Also tried the beef pepperoni which was great and the 53rd but not enough gyro on it. The slices are not cheap $4.99and up for each. Plenty of seats and parking.
We really enjoyed the Gyro over rice! I'd say even more so than the pizza which was also delicious!
Wow! The flavors on this NY thin slice of pizza blew me away. Ordered by the slice to try them out for the first time. I was very impressed with the chicken tikka masala and cheese pizza. Simple ingredients with big flavors. There were about 6 different pizzas to choose from, or you can order a whole pie. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommend, and I will be back.
I don't know about you guys but Slyce of NY has been ALLL OVER my IG feed so I had to check it out for myself! It's a very casual, low key spot with booth seats. You order up front, grab a seat, and pick up your order when ready. Slyce is primarily known for their variety of pizza slices + their amazing gyro bowls. We couldn't decide so ended up trying both! The combo chicken + gyro bowl over rice was HEAVENLY! Both meats were cooked to perfection, the rice and salad added the perfect balance to the meatiness, and the white and red sauce on top was just what was needed to complete this dish! I feel in LOVE with the flavor profile and I'm already dreaming of going back and trying it again! In terms of pizza slices, they have so many options so we went with their classic 53rd slice which comes with gyro meat and the chipotle tostada slice which came with chicken. The 53rd was smoky and salty and the chipotle tostada had a hint of sweetness to it. Both slices were absolutely amazing! They were crispy on the bottom, the crust was perfect, and the sauce and cheese and toppings combo was delicious. Cannot wait to go back and try more of their slices! This is a great spot for a quick lunch or a grab and go for take out! Would highly recommend!!
